welcome to portraits for the parks

Hi, I’m Jonah, a 10 year old from Pennsylvania.

I came up with the idea to create National Park posters over the summer. I really care about the national parks and wanted to protect them and raise awareness. I decided to start a business because I wanted to make beautiful art to raise money and awareness, and to show people how amazing they are. I personally love hiking in National Parks and seeing the amazing sights and views. I have been to Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and I want to visit many more. I want to spread this mission as much as I can.

I hope you’ll join me and support
the parks any way you can:

  • Buy some of my art

  • Share my site with a friend

  • Give to organizations that protect our parks

  • Get out there and visit the parks – they’re awesome!

My process

I draw every one of my portraits by hand with markers, using my favorite scene from each park as inspiration.

Half of everything I sell will go to the National Park Foundation.

You can also donate directly to them here.

Here are some other parks sites that I found

  • Book cover titled 'Subpar Parks' by Amber Share, featuring a stylized illustration of a desert landscape with red rock formations and a person looking at a phone, with a speech bubble showing a one-star rating.

Dad’s Note: Jonah’s dad, Jake here. I’ve helped him build this site, scan his artwork, and get his shop set up, but everything else is all Jonah. The idea, the art, the words, the inspiration. It’s amazing to watch. Thanks for supporting him!
